In Spring of 2016, GeorgiaForward brought 45 Young Professionals to Douglas County, Georgia for is third installment of the "Young Gamechangers" program. This leadership action program brings the best and the brightest young professionals from across the state to grapple with issues and are charged to develop innovated and inspiring recommendations as possible solutions for those issues.

Of the 45 young professionals brought to Douglas County for GeorgiaForward's Spring 2016 Young Gamechangers class, 145 represented Douglas County. Of those 15, 14 individuals decided to continue the work started by the Young Gamechangers program; thereby founding "DC Gamechangers." In addition to the 12 individuals from the Douglas Class, we have also added 2 members who represented Douglas County in other communities (Tiffany Stewart-Stanley from the Augusta Class and Casey Bethel from the Troup Class). The DC Gamechangers organization is founded in the principles set forth by the GeorgiaForward Young Gamechangers program and is committed to being a non-partisan non-profit working to strengthen, unite, and work to engage citizens in our community.
